First Person Lightning Roulette has been introduced by Evolution Gaming as a part of their famous First Person series. This game is unique as it is basically the introduction to live-casino gambling. This roulette combines the first person gameplay, state-of-the-art random number generator and huge wins with top-notch graphic and sound design.
First Person Lightning Roulette is a variant of the good old European Roulette with all the perks we love about it. It has only one zero, as any other roulette this one comes with a very low house edge and high multipliers for payouts. The average RTP of this roulette is 97.30%.
As with any other roulette the main idea of the First Person Lightning is to predict the winning number by making a bet. When it comes to bets, here we get all the classic bets and odds possible with just a few exceptions.
There are inside and outside bets. Let’s start with the latter. All even bets here have payouts of 1:1. The payouts are rather standard for Odd/Even, Black/Red and 1-18/19-36 bet. Dozens and columns have payouts of 2:1. Line bets are paid 5:1. Streets are paid 11:1. As for the inside bets, the splits are paid 17:1 and corner bets have 8:1 payouts. Both are rather standard. But what is not standard is the straight up. Typically, the one number bet in classical roulette has odds of 35:1. In Lightning Roulette the odds are from 29 to 499:1.
How did that happen? This is all thanks to the Lucky Payouts feature. It comes with a 500x multiplier. There are several Lucky numbers selected randomly every spin. If you hit the lucky number, the payout will be multiplied 500 times. There may be from one to five Lucky numbers chosen every spin. The 500 multiplier is available for straight up bets only. If you hit the lucky number via any other bet, say Odd/Even the multiplier won’t be applied to your win.
Apart from the aforementioned, there is also a racetrack for the called bets. Here, you may bet on the Voisins Du Zero, Orphelines,Tiers du Cylindre or Jeu Zero. The odds for Jeu Zero are 35:1. Orphelines’ payouts are the same. Tier and Voisins Du Zero bets odds are lower, only 17:1.
When it comes to interface, the design is flawless. It’s just what we expect from Evolution Gaming. What they did here is they tried to imitate the atmosphere of a live ground-based casino. The design of the table and the hall is luxurious in deep hues of gold and black. The atmosphere of the game is really immersive. It can not really compare to the live game but is just right for the beginners who are not yet ready for the live dealer action.
Obviously, there is no dealer and all the instructions are given by a computer generated voice. On one hand, they are clear and audible, unlike some live dealers with their thick accents. But the downside is the lack of feedback. Two-way communication is what we really appreciate in the live dealer casino, right?
In the First Person LIghtning Roulette, there is only one table with one wheel. It is a classic European kind, so it features 36 black and red numbers and one green zero. The wheel itself is black, its circumference is gold and the turret is sleek chrome. The table is decorated with black felt. There is a betting area for the inside and outside stakes.
Above, there is a racetrack for more complex outside bets. Below the betting area there are the buttons for operating the game. There is a spin button, buttons imitating chips of different value, also buttons Rebet&Spin and 2xRebet&Spin. Apart from rather regular features, Lightning Roulette has an Instant Stop function. It’s for those impatient once, who don’t feel like waiting for the results.
Down in the left corner of the screen, there is a Go Live button that may take you straight to the live casino, and the Undo button. The latter is used if you have made a wrong bet and want to change it before hitting the spin. As for the chips they come in five variants: 0.50, 1, 5, 25 and 100. In the lower left corner, there is a total bet and balance indicators, so you know how much have bet and won.
At the top of the screen, there is a window that indicates the numbers that won in the last spins. For the paytable, hit the corresponding button in the top left corner of the screen. There you can find all the odds, wins and payouts.
So what is good and what’s not in the First Person Lightning Roulette? It has all the perks of the European Roulette: the low casino edge, high payouts, a great variety of bets. It also imitates the live game quite well. In the game you can feel the atmosphere of the ground-based casino, and it really enriches your experience. Apart from that, there are some extra features of the Lightning Roulette that we really appreciated. Say the Lucky numbers multiplier or the instant stop function.
So, who would enjoy the First Person Lightning Roulette? Pretty much anybody who loves playing roulettes. But as we see it, the game has been designed for newbies who don’t feel confident enough playing with a live dealer. It is like a training program that allows you to make this step towards live gambling easily and without stress.
